An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Chris commentedI agree with this. For me, the state of WA charges retail sales tax, but the only option we have is 911 tax with a percentage rate. I also separate the State's taxes from my City's/County taxes for bookkeeping purposes. Otherwise, I have to manually add the taxes to the order each time rather than having it defaulted with the appropriate taxes. This can lead to human error if they do not add the taxes to the order.
Rather than having it labeled as 911 tax, it would be nice to have it labeled with all appropriate taxes. Example would allow my dual tax system (WA + City/County) and 911 tax (flat rate or percentage)

An error occurred while saving the comment Chris commentedDefinitely an important feature to prevent underselling. There should also be an manager/admin code to override this setting during checkout/discount application in case the item does need to be lower than floor pricing.

Also, to the OP, there is an option to add a "collect fee" to allow you to collect that $0.40 cents. That may be your workaround for the current version.
