Special Order for Non-Stocked Items
This idea is a very important one from our old system.
Rather than how the special ordering is for tracked out-of-stock inventory items, I would like to add to the PO/Special Ordering section. Rather than only inventoried items, it'll allow us to place a "custom item" where we put the details, pricing, and costs of the part to be tied to a ticket, thus creating a custom PO.
When it creates this custom PO, it'll trigger an email for the admin/manager roles to alert them to an special ordered part for non-stocked items. Saves the headache of adding every known phone/electronic in the universe and keeping the pricing updated.

We're working on special part order which can be adding against a repair ticket and we're looking to release it before end of this month.

Believe me - it's amazing to have for tracking. Especially for my clients being primarily military, most items or devices we do not carry, but we can order it.

This would be fantastic. I live in a rural area, and much of my customer base prefers to buy things in stores, not online. We essentially become the place to order flip phone batteries, watch batteries, etc. Things we'd never actually have in inventory. This would be a killer feature for us. Got my two votes! :)

I would suggest making a PO and adding your local vendor to your suppliers list even as one offs. It may be a slight work around but will keep your books in check.

Hi, a times repair shops purchase parts on the fly locally as per requirement. Here there is no need of raising po.
We shud have option direct parts purchase also.
