Buy and Sell Pre-Owned Devices Using BuyBack Widget
RepairDesk users can now allow their customers to get
instant quote on used, working and fully damaged phones or displays with pre-set buy prices through BuyBack Widget. We have made it possible for our users to run a BuyBack Program following a few simple steps.
Steps To Setup The Widget
1. Generate iFrame Code
Head to Integrations >> BuyBack Widget
Create a new page on your website and paste iFrame code into FCK or WYSIWYG Editor.
2. Manage Devices
You can add/edit/delete device and model in Manage Devices section. You will be directed to following screen.
Here you can edit existing devices and add new using Add New Device button as shown below.
You will be directed to following screen where you can enter new device details
Any New Device added here will be shown to customer on widget.
3. Widget Configurations
Below screen will appear;
Details of configurations and settings on this page is given below
Walk-In Charges: These charges will be added to the device price. So if a customer comes to your store to sell his device, you will have to pay these charges to him in addition to the device price. Lets suppose the price of device is $400 and walk-in charges are set to $100. So if a customer walks-in, you will have to pay him $500 for the device.
Bring Into Store Text On Offer Page: This text will be displayed on widget to direct the user to bring his device physically to store.
Mail-In Text On Offer Page: Text entered in this field will be shown on widget to direct customers to drop their device through mail service.
Seller Acceptance Disclaimer Text: This will include the terms and conditions for the seller to accept for selling pre-owned devices.
Don't Allow User To Create Device Attributes While Creating Lead: If this trigger is enabled, then your customer will not be able to create their own attributes such as manufacturer, network, device color, device size while selling their device through BuyBack widget.
Don't Send Email To Admin When New Lead Is Generated Via Buyback Widget: If this trigger is enabled, then admin will not receive email notification when a lead is generated through BuyBack widget.
Don't Send Email To Customer When New Lead Is Generated Via Buyback Widget: If this trigger is enabled, customer will not receive an email on submitting an inquiry through BuyBack widget.
Hide Bring into Store info: If this trigger is enabled, your customers will not be able to see the option to bring the device to store for getting quote.
Hide Mail In: If this trigger is enabled, your customers will not be able to see the option to send their device through mail.
Pick Customer Address Details: If this trigger is enabled, on BuyBack widget, customer will not get the fields to enter his address details such as postcode, state, city etc.
4. Manage Device Colors
From this section, you can edit already existing device colors or add new color using Add New button. Newly added color will then be displayed on widget.
5. Manage Device Size
From this section, you can edit already existing device sizes or add new device size using Add New button. Newly added device sizes will then be displayed on widget.
6. Manage Device Networks
Similar to device color and sizes, device networks can be edited and added as shown below
7. Manage Device Conditions
You can edit the existing device conditions and add new device condition using +Condition button.
Note: We have added a trigger in BuyBack widget configuration settings that prevents the user from adding manufacturer device, color, size and network or condition while making the lead. So if the trigger is enabled, user will not be allowed to enter these details. By default this trigger will be disabled.
8. Listing Leads created from BuyBack Widget
When customer submits inquiry it will generate a lead in system under Manage Inventory >> Trade-In and an email will be sent to admin and customer with further instructions.
9. Adding Device To Inventory
A user needs to click on transaction ID of respective lead and it will open up the details of trade-in item. Hit Purchase and Add payment against generated lead to add the trade-in item in stock.
Once an item is added to stock, you can create its refurbishment ticket following the process described in this article.

Q. Can I translate this in my primary language?
Q.Can I add price for a specific device that will be shown to user while adding lead from buyback widget?
A. Yes you can add the device price while adding a device in configuration setting of widget.
Edit the specific device for which you want to add the price
Once it opens in edit mode again click on action button and click on price under action button
Here you can add price and press enter, now that price will be shown on the widget when user selects specific device.
