How to send MMS using Connect

You can now send MMS directly from Connect, allowing you to stay connected with your customers and provide an easy way for them to reach out to you.

Important Notes:

  • This feature is available exclusively for merchants in the US and Canada.
  • Make sure you have available SMS or PhonePro credits. Sending and receiving an MMS costs 4 SMS credits.
  • The maximum file size for uploads is 4 MB. You can upload images, GIFs, audio, and video files.
  • For PhonePro users, Messages sent through Connect won’t appear in the 3CX app, but messages from the 3CX app will be visible in Connect.
  • You can send either an MMS or an SMS at a time. combining text with an image is not possible at this moment. 
1. Open any conversation where you wish to send MMS and click on the "Attachment Icon"


2. Select your desired media (Images, audio, Gifs etc)


3. Click on Send

Q- I'm using 3CX mobile app, will my conversations in RepairDesk Connect sync with the 3CX mobile app?
A- 
At the moment conversation syncing from RepairDesk to 3cx mobile app is not possible as it's a 3rd party application. We are fully committed to launching an independent mobile application for RepairDesk Connect in the next 6-9 months.

Q- What is the cost to send MMS and what regions are supported?
A. The cost to send or receive an MMS is 4 SMS credits and you can send or receive MMS in the "USA and Canada" only.

If a customer sends you an MMS you'll be able to view the MMS on a pop up notification, tickets view page, or SMS inbox however to send an MMS you'll need to have an active subscription for RepairDesk Connect or the RepairDesk integrated phone system that allows you to send and receive SMS using the 3CX mobile app.
