SMS and MMS using the 3CX Mobile App
To send and receive SMS and MMS using the 3CX Mobile app, a few settings need to be configured in the trunk by the carrier.
Please contact us before setting the destination of the SMS, then follow these steps:
1: Log in to the 3CX Management Console.
2: Go to "Admin" > "Call Handling."
3: Select the number you want to receive SMS on.
4: If the number is assigned to a Digital Receptionist, click on it.
5: After selecting the relevant Digital Receptionist, click on "Options."
6: In the "Options" menu, you will see the "Forward SMS" option.
7: The "Forward SMS" option has a drop-down menu where you can assign incoming SMS to the following groups:

- The SMS can be forwarded to an individual user (extension).
- The SMS can be forwarded to multiple users (extensions) that are added to a Ring Group.
- The SMS can be forwarded to multiple users (extensions) that are added to a Queue.
