How to Implement Digital Receptionist in 3CX version 20?
Implementing a digital receptionist, often referred to as an auto-attendant, in 3CX Version 20 involves creating and configuring a Digital Receptionist object within the 3CX Management Console. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you set it up:
Log in to your 3CX Management Console: Open your web browser and navigate to the URL of your 3CX Management Console. Log in with your administrator credentials.
Click on “Admin”.
Click on “Call Handling”.
Navigate to "Add Digital Receptionist": Once you select call handling, locate the "Add Digital Receptionist" option. Click on this option to begin the setup process.
Configure the Digital Receptionist: You'll be presented with a configuration interface where you can set up the options for your digital receptionist. Here are some common configurations:
Welcome Message: Record or upload a welcome message that will greet callers when they reach the digital receptionist.
Menu Options: Define the menu options that callers will hear and the actions associated with each option. For example, "Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support," etc.
Destination for Each Option: Specify where calls should be routed based on the caller's selection. This could be an extension, a ring group, a queue, a voicemail, or another digital receptionist.
Customize the Settings: Depending on your needs, you may have additional settings to customize, such as timeout and invalid input destination options.
Save Your Configuration: Once you've configured your digital receptionist settings, make sure to save your changes.
Test Your Digital Receptionist: It's essential to test your digital receptionist to ensure that calls are routed correctly based on the configured menu options.
Assign the Digital Receptionist to a Phone Number: After testing, assign the digital receptionist to a phone number so that incoming calls to that number are routed through the auto-attendant.
