Upload Pre/Post Images

The pre/post condition image feature is a valuable addition to RepairDesk, offering a streamlined and efficient way to document the condition of a device before and after repair. This feature allows technicians/shopkeepers to capture images that serve as visual evidence of the device's state, enabling better accountability, quality control, and improved customer satisfaction.

In the device repair industry, accurate documentation of the device's condition is indispensable. By capturing pre-repair images, technicians can provide transparent evidence of the device's initial state, ensuring that any subsequent changes or improvements are clearly documented.

Similarly, post-repair images are essential to showcase the work performed by the technicians.

Step-by-step Instructions:

1. Open the ticket to which you wish to add the pre/post condition image.

2. Locate the "Action" button specific to the ticket and click on it.

3. From the dropdown menu, select "Upload pre/post image." This action will bring up a new screen.

4. On the new screen, you will find two options for adding the image:

  • To add a previously captured image, click on "Add file" and select the image file from your computer.
  • If you prefer to use your webcam to capture the pre/post repair condition image, click on "Capture with webcam".

5. If you choose the "Capture with webcam" option, ensure that your webcam is connected and functioning correctly.

6. Properly align the item within the webcam frame and capture the image.

7. After uploading a file or capturing the image using your webcam, a new popup will appear which will ask you to add the name and description of the image.

8. Click on the "Save" button to proceed.

Note:

  1. You can also save the webcam captured image to your device by right clicking the image and selecting ‘Save’ option.

  2. In order to send these images to the customer via email, go to the History & Notes section -> Email / SMS Customer -> Attach Files (refer to the following screenshot).

You will be displayed a pop up where the uploaded images will be shown. Select the images and attach the selected files to your email.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If you encounter difficulties uploading a file, ensure that the image file is in a supported format, such as JPEG or PNG.

  • If you experience problems capturing an image with your webcam, verify that the webcam drivers are up to date. If necessary, restart the webcam or your computer.

  • If you encounter any errors or other technical issues during the process, please reach out to our customer support for prompt assistance.

Note: These images serve as tangible proof of the repair outcomes, demonstrating the quality of the repair job and providing assurance to both the technicians and the customers. They also serve as valuable references for future maintenance, warranty claims, or potential disputes.
