Sales by item type Report
Sales by item report
This report shows total number of items sold and revenue generated from sales of those items. User can check most popular items which are sold over the period of time. Along with inventory items user can also check out popular repairs done over the period of time.
By default the report will show all the accessories items.
What value this report will bring to 'Your Business'
It’s important for business in such a way that user can get an idea which are the most popular selling items and on which item he needs to add promotions and discounts.
How to view Sales by Item report:
From Reports Section, under Sales Reports click on Sales by Item Type report:

Search filters:
Stores:
The user can filter the report based on stores, if you want to view data for all stores, you can multi-select stores. You can also search while multi-selecting the stores.
Type:
User can select the type based on which they want to view a report. Type include :
- Repair Tickets
- Unlocking
- Products
- Trade in
- Causal items.
Criteria:
Criteria will be based on the 'type' user has selected.
if user select a repair ticket, the criteria will be changed as it will include all the repairs.User can filter reports based on repair catagories set for each repair service.
Criteria As Product:
IF user select Type as Product then he will be following criteria to chose:
A user can search based on the following criteria:
Product Category
Item SKU
Serial Number
Employee
Manufacture
Device
Date:
User can select the date from set templates or he can give a custom date based on his requirement.
Export Report:
Report can be exported in three different formats.
Note: By default, the default supplier attached with the item will be shown in the report. in case of Excel and PDF only default supplier will be shown.
Reports columns in case of repair tickets and unlocking:
i. Stores: User should be able to see the Most Popular SKU(s) on the basis of one or multiple stores according to the selection.
ii. Manufacturer: Manufacturer of the product will be shown in this column as per selection (Apple, Samsung Etc.)
iii. Device: Device name will be displayed (iPhone7 etc.)
iv. Device Issue: Device issue will be displayed here like Screen Replacement etc.
v. QTY: Total quantity of the products sold will be shown in this column.
vi. Sub-Total: Total Gross Amount will be shown in this column.
vii. Tax: Tax amount will be displayed here in this column.
viii. Total: Total Amount will be shown after the addition of Tax (Sub Total+ Tax).
ix. COGS: Cost of Goods Sold will be displayed here.
x. Gross Profit: Profit will be calculated on the basis of Total- COGS.
xi. Margin: Margin will be calculated as (Gross Profit/ Total).
A column in case of product, causal and trade in items:
i. Stores: User should be able to see the Most Popular SKU(s) on the basis of one or multiple stores according to the selection.
ii. Manufacturer: Manufacturer of the product will be shown in this column as per selection (Apple, Samsung Etc.)
iii.Device: Device name will be displayed (iPhone7 etc.)
iv. Category: Category will be shown (Network Unlocks, Products, Trade-ins, Casual Items)
v. Product Name: Product Name will be shown (iPhone 7+ screen, Camera etc.).
vi. SKU: SKU of the product will be shown in this column.
vii. Supplier: Supplier attached to item is displayed here in this column.
viii. QTY: Total quantity of the products sold will be shown in this column.
ix. Sub-Total: Total Gross Amount will be shown in this column.
x. Tax: Tax amount will be displayed here in this column.
xi. Total: Total Amount will be shown after addition of Tax (Sub Total+ Tax).
xii. COGS: Cost of Goods Sold will be displayed here.
xiii. Gross Profit: Profit will be calculated on the basis of Total- COGS.
xiv. Margin: Margin will be calculated as (Gross Profit/ Total).
