Now you don’t need to add SKU or UPC manually while creating an inventory item. RD has made it trigger based where you can enable the trigger, set the pattern for SKU /UPC and they will auto-generated.

Let’s see how it’s done.

Goto to settings => Module Configuration =>Inventory

1. Case for Auto UPC Code:

1.      When both the triggers are enabled “create barcode on the basis of UPC code” and “Auto Generate inventory SKU/UPC” system will generate auto UPC code when an inventory item is created.

2.      User can select the format for UPC or he can use its own format using others.

2. Case for Auto SKU:

1.      IF only “Auto Generate inventory SKU/UPC “is enabled then the system will auto-generate SKU for inventory items
