Select a Custom Ticket Status During Checkout

Select a Custom Ticket Status During Checkout

You can now select any ticket status (Closed or Cancelled type) directly from the payment pop-up on POS, so you can apply the appropriate status at the time of payment — without needing to update it manually afterward.

This is especially useful when you close tickets with statuses other than "Repaired & Collected" — such as Ready for shipment, Device shipped, Paid & Received, or any custom closed or cancelled type status your shop uses.

How it works:

When you're on the POS payment pop-up, the "Repaired & Collected" toggle continues to work exactly as before — with Yes/No options.

  • If you set "Repaired & Collected" to Yes → the ticket will be marked as Repaired & Collected upon payment confirmation. This is the standard behavior and no additional dropdown is shown.
  • If you set "Repaired & Collected" to No → a new Ticket Status dropdown appears, letting you pick any ticket status from the system.

The Ticket Status Dropdown

  • The dropdown lists specific ticket statuses available in your account, grouped by status type — Closed, and Cancelled.
  • The dropdown includes a search bar at the top to quickly find any status.
  • The dropdown has no default pre-selected value — you can either select a status or leave it empty.

What happens on payment confirmation

Depending on your selection, the ticket status behaves as follows on Confirm Payment:

  • Repaired & Collected = Yes → Ticket status becomes "Repaired & Collected".
  • Repaired & Collected = No and a status is selected from the dropdown → Ticket status becomes the selected status.
  • Repaired & Collected = No and no status is selected → Ticket status remains unchanged — no automatic status update is applied.

Common use cases

  • Mail-in repair shops collecting payment for a repair that will be shipped back later — set status to Ready for shipment.
  • B2B or corporate accounts paying upfront while the device is retained for delivery — set status to Device shipped or a custom shipping status.
  • Warranty and internal repair workflows — apply a custom status like Under review or Awaiting parts without triggering the collected state.

Note:

  • The behavior when "Repaired & Collected" is set to Yes is unchanged — the ticket will always be marked as Repaired & Collected on payment.
  • If you don't want to change the status during checkout, simply leave the dropdown empty. The ticket's current status will be preserved.
