Ensuring that every device is refurbished efficiently and ready for resale is crucial to maximizing profit and reducing waste. Use RepairDesk’s Refurbishment Module to track, repair, and restore devices with a streamlined process—so you can manage refurbishment jobs with accuracy and speed.
Go to Inventory > Manage Refurbishment from the top menu.
Use search filters to locate refurbishment records based on:
Click on Create Refurbishment Batch to initiate a new refurbishment process.
A new window will appear where you can add serial numbers or Trade-In items to the batch.
Click Proceed to Review, and a refurbishment ticket will be created.
Click on Save to create a Refurbishment Ticket.
After clicking Save, the system will prompt you to choose between viewing the Refurbishment Ticket or Refurbishment Batch.
If you click on "View Refurbishment Ticket," you'll be redirected to the ticket details page.
If you click on “View Refurbishment Batch”, you’ll be redirected to the Manage Refurbishment Batch page and can view the latest refurbishment batch created by clicking on view under the action button.
Open Manage Inventory and navigate to the Serials tab.
Select the serial number that requires refurbishment.
Click Create Refurbishment Ticket to begin the process.
Once the repair is completed, the item status will change to "On Hand", allowing it to be sold.
RepairDesk allows users to include Trade-In items within refurbishment batches directly from the Trade-In listing.
Go to Settings > Employees > Manage Roles & Permissions > Trade-In.
By default, admins and super admins will be able to include trade-in items within refurbishment batches.
The Create Refurbishment Batch option appears in the main action dropdown on the trade-in listing page, only for users with the Create Refurbishment Batch permission enabled.
Go to the Trade-In Listing page and select the trade-in items you want to refurbish.
Click Create Refurbishment Batch (only available for in-stock trade-in items).
You will be redirected to the Refurbishment Batch Creation Page, where the selected items will be listed.
Click Pause Batch to mark selected trade-in items as Pending Refurb in the trade-in listing.
If no refurbishment ticket has been created, the batch reference will appear under the Price tab of the Trade-In item.
Clicking the batch reference will redirect you to the Batch Update Page, where you can create a refurbishment ticket.
No, the Delete option is not available for refurbishment batches, ensuring that records remain intact.
No, refurbishment tickets cannot be transferred between stores. If an item needs refurbishment at another location, a new ticket must be created at the respective store.
Click on the Action button next to the serial.
Add the serial to a refurbishment batch.
Proceed to create the refurbishment ticket.
