How to setup RepairDesk payments integration?

Overview

RepairDesk Payments is a new payment integration that allows you to accept secure, fast, and reliable card payments directly through RepairDesk. It works with NexGo wireless terminals and the RepairDesk Payments Android app, giving you a seamless way to handle both in-store and online payments.

This article will guide you through setting up the integration, adding your terminals, and configuring key payment controls such as virtual terminals, payment links, tipping, and terms & conditions.

Getting Started

a. Set up Terminal

Open the RepairDesk Payments integration page and click Enable.

Click Add Terminal.

On your NexGo terminal, an 8-digit pairing token will appear. Enter this token in RepairDesk.

Give your terminal a name (e.g., Front Counter or Register 1) and click Add.

Once added, your terminal will appear in the list with its connection status (Connected / Disconnected).

b. Add Multiple Terminals

If your store uses more than one terminal, you can easily add and manage multiple devices.

In the Terminal Setup tab, repeat the same steps above to add each terminal.

Once added, you can mark one as the Default for payments.

To use multiple terminals, turn on the Use Multiple Terminals toggle.

You can either:

Select the terminal manually at checkout on the POS, or

Map specific cash registers to designated terminals for automatic selection.

c. Controls

Under the Controls tab, you can enable or customize several features to tailor the payment experience.

Virtual Terminal

— Turn this on to process payments without a card present.

— Enter your Device ID and MID provided by TSYS to activate virtual payments directly from RepairDesk.

Email & SMS Invoice Payment Links

Allow customers to pay invoices online by enabling this option. When turned on, invoices sent via email or SMS will include a secure payment link.

Optional: Keep the payment link active even after the due date for flexible payments.

Display Terms & Conditions & Collect Signature

Display your Terms & Conditions on the terminal and collect customer signatures for acknowledgment.

Enable Tipping

Let customers add tips at checkout. Enable tipping and set up to three percentage presets (e.g., 10%, 15%, 20%). These appear on the NexGo terminal during payment.
