Opening and closing register shifts in RepairDesk ensures every sale, refund, and cash adjustment is accounted for—giving you complete visibility and control over your shop’s daily earnings.
Log into RepairDesk and go to the POS screen.
You can either choose from the pop-up that will appear showing available cash registers or select Start Shift from the 9 dots menu.
Select a register, e.g., Counter A, and click Start Shift.
The system will display:
Count the cash in the drawer and enter the denominations.
If there is a discrepancy, add a note explaining the difference (e.g., "$50 missing from previous balance.").
Click Start Shift. The verified cash amount will become the register's opening balance.
