Overview

The Item Sales Breakdown report in RepairDesk provides line-item level visibility into all products, parts, and services sold across your stores.

This report uses accrual accounting, tracking all products and services added to issued invoices within the selected date range, regardless of whether payment has been collected.

With this update, you can:

Analyze product performance at the SKU, Category, Brand, and Model level
Monitor units sold, generated revenue, and associated costs (COGS)
Review individual item margins and collected tax amounts

Accessing the Item Sales Breakdown Report

To open the report:

Go to Reports in the top navigation menu.
Select Sales Reports.
Click Item Sales Breakdown.

Summary Tiles

The top of the report features summary tiles for quick performance insights:

Total Sales: Displays the total revenue generated from items sold (excl. tax).
Sold Qty: Displays the total number of units sold across all items.
COGS: Displays the total cost of goods sold for all items within the selected date range.
Profit After Tax: Displays net profit remaining after deducting COGS and line-level discounts from Total Sales.
Tax: Displays total tax collected on all sold items.

Report Columns

The report table includes the following default columns:

Store: Displays the store location where the item was sold.
SKU: Displays the unique stock-keeping unit code for the item.
Product Name: Displays the name of the product, part, or service.
Category: Displays the inventory category assigned to the item.
Type: Displays the item classification (e.g., Repair, Part, Accessory).
Brand: Displays the brand name associated with the item.
Model: Displays the device model associated with the item.
Sold Qty: Displays the quantity of the item sold.
Total Sales: Displays the sales revenue generated by the item, excluding tax and including line discounts.
COGS: Displays the cost price of the units sold.
Profit After Tax: Displays net item profit calculated by subtracting COGS from Total Sales.
Profit Margin: Displays profit margin percentage calculated by dividing Profit After Tax by Total Sales.
Tax: Displays total tax collected on the item.

Search & Filter Controls

You can narrow down performance data using the top filter controls:

Report Columns: Customize which metrics to display in the report table.
Group By: Group data by parameters such as discount coupons.
Product ID / SKU / Invoice ID: Search directly by specific item identifiers or invoice numbers.
Date Range: Filter data by preset options (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Year, All) or set a Custom Range.
Filter Criteria: Filter items by attributes.
