Overview

Keeping your RepairDesk visuals clean and professional just got easier. Our Bulk Image Update Tool lets you quickly add missing images across your catalog — including repair categories, manufacturers, and device models — all at once. Instead of navigating into each item individually, you can now upload the missing visuals in a single streamlined workflow.

This tool is designed solely to fill gaps in your library. It does not replace any existing images, ensuring your current visuals remain unchanged while you efficiently complete or update incomplete or outdated areas of your catalog.

How It Works

1 - Open the Bulk Image Updater

  1. Go to Store Settings → Repairs → Bulk Image Updater.  (You can also find it by typing Bulk Image Updater in the top search bar.)

  2. Open the Bulk image updater page,


  3. At the top of the page, you’ll see three cards:

    • Repair Categories

    • Manufacturers

    • Devices

Each card shows:

  • The total count

  • How many items are missing images (e.g., 13/33 missing)

2 - Choose What You Want To Update

A. Updating Repair Categories

  1. Click the Repair Categories card.

  2. A panel opens with two sections:

    • Left Panel: List of all categories with missing images

    • Right Panel: Selected items with suggested images from our dataset

  3. Select a category from the left → Its suggested images appear on the right.

  4. Choose a suggested image
    OR
    Upload your own image manually.

  5. Select as many categories as you want.

  6. Click Proceed to update all selected items.

B. Updating Manufacturers

  1. Click the Manufacturers card.

  2. The left panel shows a list of manufacturers with missing images.

  3. Select one → Suggested images appear on the right.

  4. Select the preferred image or upload your own.

  5. Click Proceed when done.

C. Updating Devices

  1. Click the Devices card.

  2. The left panel shows Manufacturers, not devices, because devices are grouped under manufacturers.

  3. Select one or more manufacturers.

  4. The right panel will then show:

    • All associated devices missing images, each with suggested images. If there are multiple suggestions, the first image will be selected automatically.

  5. Select suggested images or upload manually.

  6. Click Proceed to apply updates.

3 - Activity Log

After each update, an entry is added to the Activity Log at the bottom of the page.

Each log entry shows:

  • Total items updated

  • Total items skipped (if any)

  • Time and date

  • Undo button (available only for the latest update)

Click Undo to revert the most recent image update operation.

4 - Skipped Images

If the system couldn’t find suggestions for some items, the Activity Log will show a "Skipped" tag.

Clicking the Skipped badge opens a pop-up with items that were skipped. Here, you can upload images individually to fill any remaining gaps.

Can I replace existing images?
No, the tool only updates missing images.
Can I undo previous updates?
You can only undo the most recent update.
Where do suggested images come from?
They come from our curated dataset, matched by name.
Do images update instantly across POS and widgets?
Yes — updates reflect system-wide immediately after processing.
