Now you don’t need to add SKU or UPC manually while creating an inventory item. RepairDesk has made it trigger-based—just enable the trigger, set the pattern for SKU/UPC, and they will be auto-generated.
Let’s see how it’s done.
Go to Settings >> Module Configuration >> Inventory
When both triggers—“Create barcode on the basis of UPC code” and “Auto Generate inventory SKU/UPC”—are enabled, the system will generate a UPC code automatically when an inventory item is created.
The user can select a predefined format for UPC, or define a custom format using the Others option.
If only the “Auto Generate inventory SKU/UPC” trigger is enabled, the system will automatically generate a SKU when an inventory item is created.
