How to setup:
Here are few simple steps you need to follow in order to accept payments via square:
1. Login to RepairDesk and under Integrations page, click on Square.
2. Click on Enable Square.
3. You'll be redirected to Sign In page for Square.
On this page enter your username and password and click on "Sign In" button to login.
4. Once your integration is successfully enabled, please scroll down to select register / location and currency as shown below:
Note: Please ensure that Location in RepairDesk matches with the one you have set up in Square. You can select anyone of the five currencies offered by Square: US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Pund Sterling (GBP), Australian Dollar (AUD) and Canadian Dollar (CAD). Everytime when you hit Save, you will get the following pop-up asking you to select location and currency that you want to set with your Square account.
Also on hitting Save Changes, it will ask you to Sync Products and Settings with iPad as well so that Square will show up as payment method on checkout screen in iPad POS Register app.
How to Process Payment?
1- Please install Square Payments App on your iPad.
2- Now open RepairDesk POS Register, add items to cart and hit checkout.
3- Click on "Create Invoice".
4- Tap on Square to receive payment via Square as shown below:
5. It will open a new page where you can enter the amount.
6. Once you click on confirm it will take you to Square app where you can key-in card details or swipe the card. Once a transaction is completed, click on "No Thanks" and it will re-direct you to RepairDesk app.
Q1. I have multiple stores and one Square account? How do I setup the integration?
A. While setting up Square on a store from web, it will ask you to select default square location and currency against your square account.
Q2. Square Deep Integration Payment method has disappeared from checkout screen. What should I do?
A. Square team has updated their security settings and now square accounts will automatically get logged out after 24 hours of inactivity on any account. Therefore Square disappears as payment method from checkout screen. To get it fixed, all you need to do is Sync Products and Settings from iPad POS Register app and it will reappear on checkout screen.
Q3. Is there any option to turn off employee tipping feature from Square?
A. We have added a trigger to turn ON/OFF employee tipping feature under Payment Integrations Setting page as shown below
If the trigger is ON, you will get the screen to give tip to employees whereas if the trigger is OFF, employee tipping screen will not be shown.
