SMS the Secondary Contact (we're repairing Primary phone)
In our industry it's very common for us to take the customers phone in for repair, leaving them with no phone to contact them.
Putting the customers number in primary (that were taking in) is the correct procedure as it makes the customer file correct and allows follow up sms.
Placing a secondary number in (of a friend for example) doesnt allow us to sms that person automatically.
Placing the friends number into the primary fixes this, but then the contact is wrong and the friend gets the reviews follow up.
This causes further pain if the friend is a previous customer as it wont allow us to make a ticket for the actual customer. This is further exaserbated when you try to add a previous customer as the Secondary contact, the system will also override the Primarty customers details with the Previous customers details.
- Keep the primary contact correct.
- The secondary contact is NOT connected to the customer database (it's irrelevant)
- The system sends SMS to both the Primary and Secondary contact.
- After say 7days the secondary contact number is automatically deleted, leaving a clean file.

We will introduce the option to add secondary contact (name, email, and number) in a customer profile from POS. You will be able to set if you want to send email or SMS notifications to the same contact along with the primary contact.

Should indeed be an improvement, although i would not automatically delete the second entry. Just make it possible to add multiple emails & multiple phonenumbers. And be able to tag the phonenumber as a temporary one. (Then delete the ones tagged as temporary or something like that). This tag can be added with "mobile, home,..." I think a feedback from some users on the whole customer creation screen might be due. (Since adding a company customer is also lacking some basics).
